WELCOME TO THE PRAIRIE LANE PTA!
Dear Prairie Lane Families,
On behalf of the Prairie Lane PTA, I would like to welcome you to the 2008/2009 school year. I hope that you had a fun filled summer and are ready for an exciting school year.
The PTA is an integral part of the Prairie Lane community as it operates/funds a number of programs all of which directly enhance the education your child receives at school. Examples of some of the programs are Spirit Day, Activity Day, VIP Night, Teacher Appreciation Week, Yearbook, 5th Grade Graduation Luncheon, Field Trips, Teacher Conference Luncheons, School Directory, Halloween Party, the “Souper Bowl” Challenge, Reflections, The Spring Carnival, Room Parties, and more…. Parental involvement in our school is the key to ensuring the continuation of such programs. The PTA encourages you to rise up to the challenge as the school year begins and find an opportunity to volunteer your time and talents.
Attached is a packet that highlights various activities sponsored and maintained by the PTA which are currently in need of your support. Included is a volunteer sign up form. Please mark what interests you and return it to school with your child by Friday, September 12th. No matter what your gifts are…No matter how much (or how little) time you have available…there is a place for you here!!!
Also provided is a school directory form. Please fill it out regardless of whether you wish to be included in the directory or not and return it by Friday, September 12th. A school directory will be provided to each family in the school. In addition is a PTA membership application. Please consider joining the PTA and supporting Prairie Lane.
