Mrs. Malorie Schmit

Welcome to Room 230!

Education I attended Alverno College my freshman year and then transferred to UW-Whitewater. I loved going to Whitewater because of the small town feel and access to anything minutes away. I graduated Whitewater in 2015 with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and minors in ESL (English as a Second Language), Spanish, and Bilingual Education.
Previous Work Experience This is my first year at KUSD! Before this, I have taught in Milwaukee. I have been in the classroom as a teacher in some way every year since I was a Senior in high school.
Hobbies I love camping, walking my puppy, travelling, and trying new restaurants.
Favorite Book The Giver by Lois Lowry
Family Info I have five siblings, and I am the baby of the family. I am lucky to have ten nieces and nephews. My husband (Matt), my dog (Cliff), and I live in Oak Creek, WI.
Something interesting about me I had two foreign exchange students in high school. One from Spain who lived with us on two different occasions and one from Brazil. It taught me so much about life. Meeting them also confirmed my passion for teaching students English as a second language/foreign language, which I luckily do today!
