Our new program Fastt Math (Fluency and Automaticity through Systematic Teaching with Technology), for grades 2 and up develops fluency with basic math facts in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The program assesses each student’s level and continuously adapts the program to suit each individual student’s learning needs.

The Smart Board interactive white board (located in the library) utilizes visual learning.
It connects to a computer and projects the computer’s image onto it’s giant screen.
Teachers and students can control applications directly from the display as well as write notes in digital ink.

Students connect wirelessly on the laptops. This allows them to save their work to the server, and explore the internet. They can also print wirelessly to either of our two laserjet printers.

The P.T.A. recently funded Accelerated Reader Enterprise (online). There are over
100,000 book titles available, and more are added weekly. Take a look at their web site http://www.renlearn.com/ar/ for all the details (you can even view a DVD about the program online).

Starting sometime in January, we will have an online subscription to Everyday Math. This will provide students, in all grades with exciting and fun games that will improve their math skills.

The new Writers for grades 4-5 are being used for keyboard training. They help the student establish home row hand position, and build accuracy and speed while keyboarding.
